Our many thanks go to all of those involved who helped make the Torchbearers - Vorbilder in dunkler Zeit exhibition a
success through their valuable contributions. Above all, we would like to extend a special thank you to Professor Robert
Schiffhauer himself, who not only provided his artwork, but also insisted on opening the exhibition himself.
Without Dr. Susannah Cremer-Bermbach in her role as consultant, this exhibit would not have been possible. We also
thank Philip Bermbach for designing the catalog and advertising material as well as Andres Frowein for his work on the
exhibit's website and Casey Chiavaria for creating the website's video. Additionally, we extend a special thanks to Dr. Siebo
Janssen and Ralf Singh-Bischofberger, who collaborated with Texas A&M students Chris Kassabian, Anaisa Arzola, Emily
Main, Anna Demmler, Justin Emmons, Annie Henley, and Lynsie Patschke to develop the exhibition's concept and
Also a special thank you to the U.S. Consulate General in Düsseldorf and Consul General Derek Kelly who will give opening
remarks at the Vernisaage and Jutta Tatzelt who was always very helpful in her role at the U.S. Consulate General. The U.S.
Consulate General Düsseldorf helped additionally with financial support!
Without the Katholischen Bildungswerk (Catholic Training Institute), it would not have been possible to use the exhibition
space in Kreuzung St. Helena, and we thank Dr. Sabel for the smooth and beneficial cooperation.
Lastly, the Academy for International Education (AIB) is to thank for organizing the exhibition and making it possible,
especially through contributions from Ariane Hanrath, Samantha Winterhoff, Kristin Vosbeck, and Dr. Rainer Zäck.
